🧡🙏September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. On this day we honor the lost children and survivors of Residential schools, and we join Canadians in bringing awareness regarding the ongoing community-intergenerational impact of Residential schools on indigenous ...communities across Canada.

On this day, Delta Family encourages all internal and external stakeholders to wear orange to honor the thousands of survivors of residential schools and to support the indigenous-led movement to recognize the effects and legacy of Residential schools. Even though Residential schools impacted over 150,000 children, their families and communities directly and indirectly, the inter-generational impact is immeasurable. Delta Family continues to advocate for accountability in addressing the ongoing impact of the tragedies, abuse, neglect and oppression experienced.

Visit the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR) website at https://nctr.ca/ for additional information and support.

👏🏾🎉🥳Delta Family is proud to announce its recent accreditation with Imagine Canada, demonstrating its commitment to the highest level of accountability, governance, transparency, and service. Imagine Canada is a national charitable organization with the mission of strengthening Canadian... charities and non-profits to better serve individuals and communities. Earning the Accredited Trustmark though the Imagine Canada-Standards Program is a public demonstration of credibility, excellence, and transparency.

“Created by the sector for the sector, the Standards Program is the only national accreditation program that is designed for all Canadian charities and nonprofits. To earn the accreditation, organizations must demonstrate excellence in five fundamental areas: board governance; financial accountability and transparency; fundraising; staff management; and volunteer involvement.” (Imagine Canada, Standards Program). We thank our Board of Directors, Management, Staff and volunteers for their excellence and ongoing support towards Delta Family’s cause and organizational excellence. This achievement would not have been possible without their deep commitment and dedication.
