Delta Family Resource Centre

🧡🙏September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. On this day we honor the lost children and survivors of Residential schools, and we join Canadians in bringing awareness regarding the ongoing community-intergenerational impact of Residential schools on indigenous communities across Canada.

On this day, Delta Family encourages all internal and external stakeholders to wear orange to honor the thousands of survivors of residential schools and to support the indigenous-led movement to recognize the effects and legacy of Residential schools. Even though Residential schools impacted over 150,000 children, their families and communities directly and indirectly, the inter-generational impact is immeasurable. Delta Family continues to advocate for accountability in addressing the ongoing impact of the tragedies, abuse, neglect and oppression experienced.

Visit the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR) website at nctr.ca/ for additional information and support.
